Editor, poet and film activist Madan Duklan and crtics as Virendra Panwar and Dr. Manju Dhoundiyal claim that Ashis Sundriyal is one of the finest Garhwali poets of twenty first century.
Ashis Sundriyal is the product of Chitthi Patri Movement a movement led by Madan Duklan, Dvendra Joshi, Bhagwati Prasad Nautiyal etc for developing modern Garhwali literature for competing other langue literature.
Asis Sundariyal was born in 1981 in Chured Ganv , Ringwarsyun of Pauri Garhwal , Uttarakhand. Asis has created more than 100 Garhwali verses published in periodicals and loaded in internet social media as well in You Tube. Ashis Sundriyal also creates Garhwali stories.
Asis creates poetries of various themes as memories (khud), love, social up liftment, socil injustice, carelesslessness in adminsitration, incompetent rural health (Ganvrya Dagtar) , wrong by mass migration from Garhwal, geographic nature, dreams (Sweena), conflicts between rural inhaibtants (Bambai vali Bodi), philosophy and interpersonal relatioship, mother’s struggle and pain ( Purushkar), humanity (Bambari) etc.
Ashis creates free verses, rhmicl poems and ghazels.
Ashis is at his best in creating satircal poems and those poems are sharp criticsm to society, goverment and culprits-
डागटर साबौ ब्यो ह्वे

Asis Sundriyal uses common words for his illustration and there is effects of Chaundkot dialects on his wordings. Asish does not hesitate in using Hindi words where need is there.
His symbols are effective in creating desired images as auditory, visulas, taste, touch, smell and internal emotions. Sundriyal is succsfull in using figurative language for getting results. There are less uses of proverbs in his poetry.
