The Garhwali stage play ‘Devban’ aimed at children redefine the importance of Khauddivta or Khadpatya deity usually found in all the forests of each village in Garhwal.
The paly by Dr. Umesh is successful in inspiring children for protecting environment and forest. Umesh Chamola cared for not preaching but inspiring the children in the drama. The wordings are simple and children can understand the subject easily.
