Biography

Col NN Bhatia, popularly known as 'Nini Bhatia' in the KUMAON Regiment was commissioned in 1963 in 13 KUMAON famous for its heroics in the 'Battle of Rezang La' in 1962 War where 114 Ahirs out of the 124 of the Battalion deployed were martyred fighting the Chinese. Col Bhatia's elder brother Late Major Prem Bhatia was the 'Hero of Walong' in 1962 War and decorated with Vir Chakra. Col Bhatia is a die hard KUMAONI and prolofic writer on matters military. He is MBA, PG Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and works as a freelance Industrial Security Consultant.
